In Diabetes a small gland behind the stomach (the pancreas) upsets the production of insulin. Glucose (sugar) backs up into the bloodstream and cannot nourish the cells to give you energy, so it leaves the body via the kidneys. Symptoms include: blurry vision, slower healing, itchy skin, increased thirst, dry mouth, needing the bathroom more often.
