DOES GAMBLING AFFECT YOU?

Is gambling getting in the way of the life you and your family want to live? Many of us like the occasional flutter but, for some, gambling can become a serious problem, not only affecting the gambler but those closest to them.

Traditionally, gamblers were thought of as male but, with the increase of online gambling sites, more and more women and young people are affected.

  • Do you recognise any of the following?

  • Being preoccupied with gambling.

  • Using gambling to escape from problems.

  • Trying and failing to control or stop gambling

  • Chasing loses

  • Hiding the extent of gambling

  • Financial troubles caused by gambling

  • Strain on personal relationships

NORCAS offers free confidential counselling in the Ipswich area to those with, or affected by, gambling. Individual or family counselling is available.
