‘The Women’s Institute (WI) offers opportunities for all women to enjoy friendship, to learn, to widen their horizons and together to influence national and international affairs’

 

Since the formation of Great Cornard WI in October 2007, the group has gone from strength to strength, membership is over 30 and continues to grow. We are a very friendly group and always welcome new members.

 

 

As a charity we support the local community by holding and participating in events and raising funds to fulfil the aims and objectives of the WI that are:

  • To improve and develop the quality of life, particularly in rural areas, for local women and their families.

  • To provide opportunities for local women to learn together and to develop individual skills and talents.

  • To advance the education of local women in citizenship and in public issues, national and international.

  • To enable women to work together to put into practice the ideals of the organisation.
