West Suffolk College has been working to improve access to education, training and skills in the Sudbury area since 1993. The College offers a varied programme of Adult Education leisure and learning classes, both in the LEAP Centre at 18 - 20 Cornard Road, Sudbury and in schools and village halls around the area. Keep Fit, Yoga, Art, Languages, IT and Digital Photography are among the many options. LEAP (Learning and Enterprise Access Points) gives free and impartial advice to people who want to learn new things. So whether you are looking for qualifications, skills to boost your career or an evening course to do something different we can help.

Help for people who are changing jobs or seeking employment are particularly welcome in the current economic climate. Courses on CV Writing, Interview Skills and IT are available as well as general guidance on education and careers. You can book a free ‘one to one’ session with our IAG (Information And Guidance) Advisor for guidance on education and careers.

Free workshops to improve your skills in English or Maths offer the chance to work towards a National Certificate, a qualification at the same Skills Level as a GCSE.

If you have some computer knowledge you can join our e-Quals programme where students work towards a City & Guilds qualification at Level 1 and 2. This is a flexible programme where students can select their own study time, with a choice of day or evening sessions.

Employers who want to improve their workforce skills may be eligible for funding through Train to Gain. One of our team can come and talk to you about your training needs and how we can help you.
